About me
I am an applied entomologist – I study insects and conduct agricultural research to increase food production with less input.
I have over 10 years of experience conducting research on vegetable and small-fruit IPM. My interests are in understanding the biology and ecology of insect pests, the development and implementation of pest management programs that are economically and environmentally sustainable, and the dissemination of the research findings to growers to enable sound pest management decisions. The specific research focus is to develop and/or improve monitoring and decision-making, sampling techniques, cultural, biological, and chemical control options for integrated management of existing and invasive agricultural pests.
Areas of Interest: Agriculture, Integrated Pest Management, Plant/Insect Interactions, Invasive Species, Insecticide Resistance, Biological Control
